LEMON CAKE 
4 c. self-rising flour
2 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1 c. milk
4 eggs
1 tsp. lemon extract

Cream sugar with softened butter. Add eggs and beat 1 at a time. Mix with flour, milk and lemon extract; beat well. Pour into 3 layer cake pans well greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees until done. Cool and cover each layer with lemon filling. Use remainder of filling to cover whole cake.
