MY MOTHER'S CHEESE STRAWS | |
1/2 c. sweet butter 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce Salt to taste Cayenne pepper to taste Preheat the oven to 300 degrees. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend thoroughly. If mixing by hand, use a pastry blender until the butter is the size of small peas. Place the ball of dough on a smooth surface and roll out to a thickness of about 1/4 inch. Cut into 3 to 4 inch strips, twist strips and lay onto a baking sheet; bake 20-25 minutes. Makes 5 dozen. |
