CHEESE DAISIES OR STRAWS | |
1 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese 1 lb. butter 4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt Dash of cayenne pepper Have cheese and butter at room temperature before mixing. Grate or grind cheese, mix with butter until rather smooth. Add dry ingredients about a cup full at the time. Dough should be stiff enough to put through cookie press. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes. Do not over bake. Remove from cookie pan and place on cloth to cool. Put in cookie tins and cover tightly. |
