HAMBURGER PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1 (16 oz.) can peas, drained
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato soup
5 hot cooked med. potatoes
1/2 c. warm milk
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. shredded process American cheese

In large skillet cook meat and onions until meat is light brown, and onions are tender. Add salt and pepper. Add drained peas and soup. Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole. Mash hot potatoes, add milk and beaten egg, season with salt and pepper. Spoon over casserole, sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
