APPLE PIE 
Peel 5 to 6 large apples and slice thinly in medium bowl. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and set aside.

PIE SHELL:

Combine 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup shortening, 1 teaspoon salt and mix well with dough cutter. Add 1/4 cup water and work together with hands into ball. Roll out onto floured board. Put in pie pan and flute ends.

Fill pie shell with apple mixture.

TOPPING:

3/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

Cut butter into remaining ingredients with dough cutter until fine consistency. Sprinkle over apples and sprinkle lightly with water.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
