CARAMEL FROSTING 
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar, sifted

Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar and salt, stir until sugar is dissolved. Add milk, cook 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, pour mixture into mixing bowl. Cool. Add vanilla and confectioners sugar. Stir to moisten ingredients, then blend on high speed for 2 minutes. Frosts two 8 inch layers.
