Pepper Gravy

 Melynda (North Carolina) says:
3 Tbsp of pepper was WAY too much when we made it, otherwise the recipe was fine, we ended up having to add alot more milk and the other ingredients to get rid of the bite of the pepper.

 Val (North Carolina) says:
Used half of the pepper in the recipe, still ended up being too much pepper.

I have to agree 3 tblsp is a bit much for this gravy mix! I only used maybe 1-1/8th tsp of pepper and it was a bit too much for me!!! I would try a 1 tsp and if you think it need more add a little pinch at a time!!! It does make a good gravy mix for SOS's though!!!

Maybe I should have read the reviews first. Yep too much pepper. On the bright side it wasn't lumpy.

I believe that they meant teaspoons, not tablespoons.

People who want pepper gravy will use tablespoons. Wimps will use teaspoons.

GREAT !!! Used crushed red pepper instead of black pepper. Don't be a wimp. It is pepper gravy.

 Cindy says:
Everyone was right about the pepper. It is not kid friendly at this amount. I half it as suggested by other comments and it was still almost to much. Thankfully, I was using it in a breakfast casserole which balanced it out. Other than that it was great.
