OVEN FRIED CHICKEN 
3 1/2 lb. frying chicken
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sliced onions
3 tbsp. flour
3 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. cream

Cut chicken into serving pieces; saute about 10 minutes in butter. Remove chicken and place in large casserole. Saute onion in butter until tender. Stir in flour until thick and smooth; gradually stir in water. Add salt and pepper. Pour over chicken; cover. Cook in 350 degree oven about 1 hour or until tender. Add cream just before serving.
