GERMAN APPLE PUDDING CAKE 
2 c. peeled, diced apples
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. raisins
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix apples and sugar together. Let stand until sugar is thoroughly dissolved. Add eggs and mix well. Sift dry ingredients together. Stir into apple mixture. Add nuts, raisins, and vanilla. Pour into 8x8 pan which is slightly oiled (MW: omit oil).

Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes. (MW: 10-12 minutes on full power) If preferred, use unsweetened can sliced apples instead of fresh apples.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 lb. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. raisins

Mix sugar, water and flour. Cook until slightly thick and clear. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until butter has melted. Pour over hot baked cake while still in pan.
