APPLE BROWN BETTY 
4 med. apples, cored, sliced thin
4 slices bread, cubed
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Arrange 1/2 of apples in layer in baking dish. Spoon 1/2 of bread cubes in even layer over apples. Spoon 1/2 of combined brown sugar and cinnamon, mixed well, over bread cubs. Repeat with remaining apples, bread cubes and brown sugar mixture. Combine water and lemon juice. Sprinkle over all. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until apples are tender.

This can be changed for a Weight Watcher using brown sugar replacement.
