MILK CAKE 
1 c. nuts, mixed with raisins
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1/4 lb. butter or sweet butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 or 10 inch tube pan generously. Line bottom with wax paper. Sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan.

Beat eggs until lemon colored and very thick. Gradually beat in sugar, and continue beating until thick. Beat in vanilla. With mixer on lowest speed, blend in flour mixed with baking powder and salt. Heat milk and butter until mixture is boiling. Pour all at once into batter and mix just to blend. Immediately pour into prepared pan and bake 50 minutes or until done. Cool in pan 10 to 15 minutes before turning upside down on cooling rack.
