CAESAR SALAD | |
2 slices of lite white or whole wheat bread, cubed 1 med. head of Romaine lettuce, cold & chopped 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. dry mustard 2 tbsp. lemon juice Ground pepper to taste 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. + 2 tsp. veg. oil 1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. wine vinegar 3 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese Toast bread cubes in 300 degree oven until dry and brown. Place lettuce in large bowl. In small bowl combine seasonings, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, oil and vinegar. Mix well. Pour over lettuce. Toss. Sprinkle with cheese and croutons. Toss and serve. 145 calories each, 2 fat servings, 1/2 bread exchange. Serves 4. |
