1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. shortening 1 c. white sugar 1 c. brown sugar 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. uncooked oats 1 c. coconut 1 c. raisins 1 c. dates, chopped 1 c. chopped nuts Combine dry ingredients. Cream shortening and sugar until light, add eggs, one at a time beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients. Combine oats, coconut, raisins, dates and nuts. Stir into creamed mixture. Shape into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen. |
