MARMALADE BREAD 
2 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 (1 lb.) jar marmalade
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. orange juice
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. chopped walnuts (opt.)

Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Reserve 1/4 cup of marmalade. Combine 1 1/4 cups marmalade, egg, orange juice and butter. Add to flour mixture, stirring until thoroughly blended. Fold in nuts. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.

Bake for about 1 hour (or until toothpick inserted into loaf comes out clean). Remove from pan, spread top with reserved marmalade and return to oven for about 1 minute or until top is glazed. Makes 1 loaf.
