PECAN TASSIES 
3 oz. softened cream cheese
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. flour
1 egg
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash salt
2/3 c. chopped pecans (or coconut)

Mix cream cheese and shortening. Stir in flour. Chill dough. Shape into small balls. Press into mini muffin pans on bottom and sides. Mix together filling, egg, brown sugar, vanilla, salt and nuts. Drop into middle of each muffin. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
