PATIO BAKED BEANS 
4 slices bacon
1/3 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. light brown sugar
1 tsp. instant coffee
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 (1 lb.) cans pork & beans in tomato sauce

Preheat oven to 350 degrees; cut bacon into 1 inch pieces. Saute bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towel, reserving 1 tablespoon. In it, saute onion until tender (about 5 minutes). In small saucepan, combine next 6 ingredients over low heat, stirring to dissolve coffee and sugar. Pour half of beans into a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Spoon half the onions over top. Repeat with rest of beans and onions. Pour hot mixture over top. Sprinkle with bacon. Bake 30 minutes. 6 servings.
