1 1/8 c. cornmeal (self-rising)
1 1/8 c. pancake mix
1 sm. onion, chopped
1 egg
1 c. milk
Salt and pepper

Mix cornmeal and pancake mix. Add onion, salt and pepper, set aside. Just before you are ready to fry, mix egg and milk with dry ingredients. Then spoon into hot grease.
