QUICK NUT FUDGE | |
1 lb. box powdered sugar 1/2 c. cocoa 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 c. milk 1/4 c. plus 2 tsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla 3/4 c. pecans, chopped 1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries Combine all ingredients except pecan and cherries in top of double boiler. Bring water to a boil. Reduce heat, cook stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat, stir in 1/2 cup pecans and all the cherries. Quickly spread mixture into a lightly buttered 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan, sprinkle with remaining pecans, chill. Cut into squares. Store in refrigerator. Yields 3 1/2 dozen. |
