BANANA MOLASSES BREAD 
3 ripe bananas
1 egg, unbeaten
2/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. light molasses
2 tbsp. melted shortening
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts

Mash bananas until no lumps remain. Add unbeaten egg; mix well. Beat in sugar, molasses and shortening. Mix and sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Stir in nuts. Bake in greased loaf pan in 325 degree oven. Bake 1 hour or until cake tester comes out clean.
