NEVER FAIL POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 c. milk
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 lb. butter
5 eggs
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1/2 tsp. lemon flavoring
1/4 tsp. almond flavoring

Cream sugar, Crisco and butter until fluffy; add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour and baking powder. Alternate flour and milk (4 times flour, 3 times milk). Add flavoring. Add dash salt.

Grease and flour tube pan. Put in cold oven and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hour.
