CARAMEL CORN IN A PAPER BAG 
4 qt. popcorn
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Combine brown sugar, butter, syrup and salt in 2 quart. Glass bowl or casserole. Microwave 3 to 4 minutes stirring after each minute until it boils, boil 2 minutes more. Stir in soda. Put popcorn and hot mixture into a brown grocery bag. Return to the microwave, cook 3 minutes shaking and turning over after each minute. Pour onto a cookie sheet to cool. Store in an ice cream bucket.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
