Derived from YouTuber Rachel Cooks with Love. Use Rachel’s All-Around Mexican Seasoning for taco meat, in casseroles, or a dry rub for BBQ. This recipe is bulked up to make three cups. RACHEL'S ALL-AROUND MEXICAN SEASONING: 1 cup minus 1 tbsp. chili powder 3 tbsp. garlic powder 1 1/2 tbsp. onion powder 1 1/2 tbsp. Mexican oregano 3 tbsp. paprika 1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp. cumin 1/4 cup plus 1 tbsp. Kosher salt (adjust to taste) 2 tbsp. black pepper Combine herbs and spices and store in a large container. Makes 3 cups. IF USING FOR SIMPLE TACO MEAT: 1 lb. ground beef 1/4 cup Rachel's All-Around Mexican Seasoning 3/4 cup water or broth Brown one pound of hamburger in a fry pan and drain off the grease. Add 1/4 cup of Rachel's All-Around Mexican Seasoning. Stir seasoning in to the meat for a minute to waken the herbs and spices. Add 3/4 cup water or broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for five minutes. (For larger batches, simmer longer). Taste for salt content. Submitted by: DAL |
