1 c. butter
1 c. sugar (1/2 brown & 1/2 white)
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour
1 tsp. flavoring
Nut meats (opt.)

Cream butter and sugar, add egg yolk and flour and extract. Form into rolls, wrap in waxed paper and chill in refrigerator. Slice and bake on greased cookie sheet in 350 degree oven.
