CREAM OF BROCCOLI SOUP 
1 head broccoli
6 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. flour
2 pt. half & half
1-2 bay leaves
Chopped onion, to taste
Garlic, to taste
Parsley, to taste
Vegetable cubes or Lipton onion soup mix, to taste

Cook broccoli. Save some of the water. Cut off flower tops. Save. In blender, puree remaining parts with a little juice. In pan, melt butter. Stir in flour. Add half & half and bay leaves. Pour broccoli puree in pan. Add onion, garlic and parsley as desired. Add vegetable cubes or soup mix and broccoli flower tops. Cook 20-30 minutes.
