CHOCOLATE BANANA CREAM PIE 
1 (9 inch) pie shell or crumb crust
2 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate
2 1/2 c. milk
1 c. sugar
5 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. Cool Whip
3 egg yolks, beaten lightly
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 med. bananas, sliced

Put chocolate and 1 1/2 cups milk in top of double boiler over simmering water. Heat, stirring until chocolate is melted. In separate bowl mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and 1 cup milk. Gradually add to chocolate mixture stirring constantly. Cook and stir 5 more minutes. Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla. Pour into a bowl. Press plastic wrap directly onto filling. Cool.

Spread a small amount of filling over the bottom of the pie shell. Arrange a layer of banana slices on top of filling. Spread on remaining filling. Press plastic wrap directly onto filling. Chill. Top with Cool Whip.
