ONION - HERB BATTER BREAD 
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 1/4 tsp. butter
1 pkg. yeast, active dry or compressed
1/2 c. warm water
2 1/4 c. regular all purpose flour (sift before measuring)
1 tbsp. instant minced onion or fresh green onion
1/2 tsp. dried dill weed, rosemary or other herb
1-2 tbsp. melted butter

Scald milk, remove from heat and stir in sugar, salt and butter until dissolved. Cool to lukewarm. In a large bowl dissolve yeast in warm water. Add cooled milk mixture. Stir flour into yeast mixture. Add instant minced onion and dill or basil or herbs. Stir together until blended 2 minutes. Cover let rise 45 minutes until triple in bulk. Stir down and beat vigorously 1/2 minute. Use greased 8" cake pan or 9" pie pan. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees then brush with melted butter.
