HOMEMADE FINGER PAINT | |
1 c. laundry starch 1 c. boiling water 1 c. soap flakes (Ivory, etc.) Oil of wintergreen 1 tbsp. glycerin Mix starch with enough cold water to make a smooth paste. Add boiling water and cook until mixture becomes transparent, stirring constantly. Cook slightly. Add soap flakes and stir until smooth (or beat with egg beater). If mixture is too thick, add more water. Add a few drops of oil as preservative. Glycerin will keep it from cracking as it dries on paper. When cool, divide mixture into small jars and mix in powdered paint for coloring. Fun for kids. |
