HEATHER'S BEST QUICK-FIX CHILI | |
2 lb. lean ground beef 1 cup chopped onions 1/4 cup minced garlic 2 pkgs. chili seasoning (I use McCormick's: 1 original, 1 hot) 1 (24 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce (your favorite) 1 (15 oz.) can diced tomatoes (basil, garlic, oregano flavor) 2 (15 oz. ea.) cans dark red kidney beans 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese Brown ground beef in onions and garlic, in large pot. Keep ground beef on medium-high heat. Add 1 package of chili seasoning to meat, stir. Add entire jar of spaghetti sauce, continue to stir. Add entire can of diced tomatoes, continue to stir. Drain some juice from kidney beans, then add them to pot. Add remaining package of chili seasoning, stir. Add 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese to pot. Let simmer on low for as long as you would like, but it is ready to eat NOW! Submitted by: Heather |
