Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake

 Sam Blackwell (Oregon) says:
This recipe has been passed down in my family for over 30 years. It is the most requested cake by our entire family for birthdays and other celebrations. I have tried some of the other variations on this recipe and none of them can live up to this one. I might add if you really want to make this an extra moist cake, as soon as it is cool enough to remove from the pan(s) cover with aluminum foil or store in cake taker until completely cool and then frost with (preferably with chocolate cream cheese frosting). You and all of your guest will be pleasantly surprised as to how 'browny-like' this full size cake is and it just keeps getting more moist IF it lasts more than a day.
