OLE TIMEY BREAD PUDDING 
2 c. milk
1 c. bread crumbs
1 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla or spices

Scald milk, add bread crumbs. When crumbs are soft, add remaining ingredients. Pour into buttered dish. Place dish in pan of hot water. Bake slowly until pudding is firm or golden brown. Serve with cream.
