3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. Nestle cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (12 oz.) pkg. Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels, divided
1/2 c. nuts, chopped (opt.)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In 2 1/2 to 3 quart saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Remove from heat. Add sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt, eggs and vanilla. Stir with spoon until batter is well blended and smooth. Stir in 1 1/2 cups chocolate morsels and nuts; if desired. Spread in 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup chocolate morsels. Bake 30 to 35 minutes until set. Cool on wire rack. Cut into 2 inch squares.
