NOEL FRUIT BARS 
2 eggs
1 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
4 tbsp. butter, melted
3/4 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped english walnuts
1 c. chopped dates
3/4 c. mixed candied fruit

Beat eggs until light and fluffy; gradually beat in sugar. Stir in melted butter. Sift together dry ingredients and fold into egg mixture with nuts and fruit. Spread in greased 7x11 pan. Bake in slow oven (325 degrees) for 30 to 35 minutes. When thoroughly cool, cut into bars. Store in airtight container.
