BAR - B - Q BEANS - LOUISIANA
STYLE
 
6 slices bacon
3 lg. onions
1 green pepper
1 c. ham, chopped
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans tomato soup OR 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 (1 lb.) cans pork & beans
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper if desired

Fry bacon and remove from pan. In 1/4 cup of drippings, brown chopped onions and peppers lightly. Add broken bacon and chopped ham.

In large bowl mix sauce, beans, sugar and seasonings. Add first mixture and pour into 3 quart casserole. Bake, uncovered, 1 hour at 325 degrees.

Good hot or cold. Keeps well in refrigerator for 3 or 4 days.
