3 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. whiskey
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. nuts
1 lemon - squeeze and grate
1 stick butter
4 tsp. baking powder
5 c. flour
2 c. milk
1 bottle cherries, drained and chopped
1/4 tsp. anise oil

Grease and flour tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool. Remove from pan and wrap in dish towel until you're ready to icing it.

ICING:

1 box powdered sugar
1 stick butter
Enough milk to make icing
