MISSISSIPPI MUD CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/3 c. cocoa
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. miniature marshmallows

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine butter and eggs (add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each); beat until creamy. Sift together flour and cocoa. Fold into butter mixture. Add nuts and vanilla; beat well.

Grease and flour 9 x 13 inch pan. Spoon in batter and smooth over. Bake 30-35 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with marshmallows. Bake another 10 minutes until marshmallows are melted and starting to brown. Let cool 30 minutes before frosting.

FROSTING:

1/2 c. butter
1 lb. powdered sugar
1/3 c. cocoa
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chopped nuts, optional

Melt butter. Sift together sugar and cocoa. Stir into butter. Add evaporated milk, then nuts. Spread over marshmallow layer.
