TEXAS BROWNIES 
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together sugar and flour, set aside. In saucepan mix butter, cocoa, water, bring to rapid boil and pour over sugar, flour mixture. Set aside for a minute, and then mix well. To this add buttermilk, cinnamon, eggs, soda and vanilla. Mix well and pour into greased jelly roll (cake pan). Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

ICING:

3 tbsp. cocoa
1 stick butter
5 tbsp. milk
1 lb. (box) powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix in saucepan the following: cocoa, butter, milk. Bring to boil and set off heat. Add 1 lb. (box) of powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat and frost hot cake. Sprinkle with nuts.
