PERSIMMON COOKIES 
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 tbsp. warm water
1 c. persimmon pulp
1 c. nuts
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda

Beat eggs. Add sugar and shortening; beat well. Add water, pulp and nuts. Measure all dry ingredients together. Add nuts; mix all together; mix well. Spoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
