1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sugar
1 c. sour cream
3 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs. Mix baking soda and sour cream and alternate with sifted dry ingredients. Drop on cookie sheets and bake in a 350 degree oven until bottoms are lightly brown. Remove from cookie sheets and sprinkle with sugar.
