GRANDMA'S MOLASSES SUGAR COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg, beaten
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon

Combine butter, sugar, molasses and egg. Beat together well. In another bowl combine remaining ingredients and add to molasses mixture. Chill dough several hours or overnight. Roll dough in 1 inch balls, then roll in sugar. Flatten balls with glass dipped in sugar. Bake on greased and floured pans at 350 degrees for 7-8 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen.
