1 pt. 190 proof alcohol 1 pt. brandy 1 1/2 qts. Mogen David Wine 15 cardamon seeds 2 qts. water 25 almonds 1 tbsp. whole cloves 3 sticks cinnamon 1 lb. cubed sugar 1 c. seedless raisins 1 tsp. anise seed Orange peel from 2 oranges Put 2 quarts water in pan to boil. Put almonds and raisins, cardamon, cinnamon, cloves and anise seed in a cloth bag. Add spices and orange peel to water. Boil one hour. Add brandy, alcohol and wine In separate pan take sugar and heat, add small amount of brandy and fire until sugar melts. Add this to rest of mix. Bring to boil and fire 3 times for 5 seconds. Remove spice bag and orange peel and discard. Remainder is Glog. |
