SANDIES 
1 c. butter
1/3 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 c. chopped pecans
Confectioners' sugar

Cream butter and sugar; add 2 teaspoons water and vanilla; mix well. Blend in flour and nuts; chill 4 hours. Shape into small balls. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees about 20 minutes or until cookies are brown on bottom. Remove from pan; cool. Roll in confectioners' sugar. Makes about 2 to 3 dozen.
