TERIYAKI STEAK STRIPS | |
2 lbs. flank steak 1 c. undiluted beef consomme (or 1/2 c. consomme & 1/2 c. red wine) 1/3 c. soy sauce 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt 1/4 c. chopped green onions with tops 1 clove garlic, minced 3 tbsp. lime juice 2 tbsp. brown sugar Remove membrane from steak (or have it removed by butcher). Cut meat into 1-inch wide strips, diagonally from top to bottom. Make a marinade by combining consomme, soy sauce, salt, green onions, garlic, lime juice, and brown sugar (or honey). Marinate meat in refrigerator overnight. Drain meat and save marinade. Using a hinged broiler, grill meat quickly over hot coals (about 2 minutes on each side). Turn only once. You may also use a broiler to broil in oven. Serves 6. |
