PAM'S EASY MINT JULEP | |
biggest bottle of Southern Comfort whiskey lots of very fresh spearmint designated drivers Want to enjoy your big BBQ instead of fussing with mixing drinks? Climb through the pasture fence (not over - that's rough on the wood), pick a bagful of mint, wash it and leave in colander for people to start putting in their tea or water. When they say, "When are you going to fix the mint juleps - aren't we having them this year?", then you pry the pour-spout out of the bottle of S.C. and stuff in as much mint as will possibly fit. This will self-crush the mint. Force the spout back onto the bottle. Shake and don't let anyone at it for 15 to 30 minutes. Pour over crushed ice in tiny glasses. If you use high-test S.C., you'll have to drive folks home or provide cots. Yes, I know this is "NOT THE WAY A MINT JULEP IS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE!", but I've never had complaints. After a few days, this stuff is too mediciney for anything but cough syrup, but there won't be leftovers unless you hide it. Submitted by: Pam Kinzey |
