CHERRIES ON A CLOUD 
6 egg whites
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar

Beat stiffly as possible. Beat in 2 cups sugar gradually until it stands stiff as meringue. Fold in 2 cups broken saltine crackers and 1 cup nuts (optional). Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Bake in a 9 x 13 inch pan for 25 minutes in 350 degree oven. Cool.

Spread with 2 packages (1 box) Dream Whip (beaten until fluffy). Spread mixture over meringue. Top with 1 can Thank You brand cherries. Chill 8 hours or overnight. Serves 12-15.
