CHRISTMAS CANDY 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water

Butter a cookie sheet and keep warm in the oven. Then cook above ingredients to hard crack stage (use a candy thermometer, 300°F). Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Spread on warm cookie sheet. Cool slightly. Prepare topping.

Topping:

6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Melt chocolate chips and stir in chopped nuts. Pour over candy. Refrigerate. Break into pieces.
