TART LEMON SQUARES 
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. confectioners' sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
Lemon Glaze (recipe follows)

Combine 1 cup flour, confectioners' sugar and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Press mixture into greased 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch baking pan. Bake in 325 degree oven 15 minutes.

Combine sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, baking powder, 1/8 teaspoon salt, eggs, lemon juice and lemon rind; mix thoroughly. Spread evenly over baked crust.

Bake in 325 degree oven 25 minutes. Cool in pan on rack. Spread with lemon glaze. Cut in 1 1/4 inch squares. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.

LEMON GLAZE:

Combine:

1/2 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. melted butter
1 drop yellow food color

Blend until smooth.
