APPLE RINGS 
3 med. apples
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ginger

Core and cut apples into 1/2 inch ring slices. Melt butter in skillet. Stir in brown sugar, spices, and salt. Saute apples in mixture over low heat turning occasionally until tender. Serve with scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon.
