HOT CHEESE TRIANGLES | |
1/4 lb. Feta cheese 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 2 tbsp. beaten egg 8 oz. Phyllo dough 1/2 c. unsalted butter, melted 1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs Preheat oven to 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Crumble Feta cheese into bowl of electric mixer. Combine cream cheese. Add egg; blend and chill. Place damp cloth on counter and cover with wax paper. Unfold Phyllo dough on wax paper and then fold over. Place one sheet of phyllo dough on counter. Cut width- wise into 3 pieces. Brush top and bottom of phyllo with butter. Sprinkle top lightly with bread crumbs. Fold each section lengthwise into 3rds to form section, 2 inches wide. Place a teaspoon of filling into corner of one section. Folding corner to cover cheese mixture and to form into triangle. Fold flag-fashion from left to right and right to left. Brush with butter as needed. Place on buttered baking dish. Brush with butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot. Makes 3 dozen, 66 calories each. |
