POUND CAKE 
5 eggs
2 c. flour
1 2/3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1 tsp. butter

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, alternating with flour. Add vanilla. Bake in 9 x 13 inch pan at 325 degrees for about 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. (This cake may be baked in a tube pan for 1 hour).

CARAMEL CAKE ICING:

1 1/2 boxes light brown sugar
2 sticks butter butter
3/4 c. Carnation milk

Combine butter and sugar in boiler; dissolve and stir well. Add milk and stir. Let come to a boil; boil for 2 minutes. Test for soft ball stage in cold water. Beat until thick and spread on cake.
