HUNTINGTON CHICKEN | |
1 hen or 2 fryers, cooked and cut up 1 c. diced celery 1 can mushroom soup 1 large pkg. noodles 1 onion, chopped 1 c. green pepper or 2 pimentos, chopped 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated salt and pepper Cook vegetables in chicken broth, leaving 2 quarts of liquid to cook noodles in. Season vegetables with salt and pepper to taste. Cook large package of noodles in reserved broth until tender. Add chicken that has been boned. Combine mushroom soup and grated cheese. Mix chicken, vegetables and cheese mixture. Pour into a large casserole and heat in 400°F oven until hot. Grated cheese may be added to top. Chopped mushrooms may also be added to this casserole and it may be served in pastry shells instead of a casserole. |
